China’s Steel daily output, steel inventory.

       As per China Iron and Steel Association, the daily output of crude steel, pig iron and steel products of its members in the middle ten days of September was 2.1456 million tons, 1.8956 million tons and 2.0452 million tons, down 0.71 percent, 0.56 percent and 1.10 percent from the daily one in the counterpart period of August. The combined inventory of CISA member steelmakers closed at 13.4049 million tons, a decrement of 0.3202 million tons from mid August. The data reflected limited production cutbacks in producers.

       According to SteelHome survey, the steel inventory continued to fall, with widening decrement. For instance, the combined inventory of construction steel at market and mills shrank by 0.3 million tons. The operating rate of BFs and EAFs fell off slightly. Trading activities of steel products stepped up, with construction steel and medium plate even showing a stronger performance than the same time in 2019.
